Ximongwe River Camp is an owner managed camp, offering comfortable accommodation and excellent service.Other interesting (and nearby) centers include: Phalaborwa, Tzaneen, Modjadikloof and Giyani. As well as local big 5 game viewing, we offer easy access to the bordering Kruger National Park. Other attractions include: excellent bird watching, adrenalin pumping adventure activities, the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, Khamai Reptile Park, Echo Caves and Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre to name just a few.
The Phalaborwa Gate is only 44km away, enabling us to offer excursions into the Kruger National Park as a day trip or an overnight stay. Guests with their own vehicles can go on a self-drive excursion into the Kruger Park and be back in time for a boma dinner.

Ximongwe River Camp - Hippo Cottage is situated in the Parsons Private Nature Reserve on the banks of the Olifants River and part of the Greater Kruger National Park.
Hippo Cottage feature a rustic interior with Giraffe as the main focus. Each room is equipped with double beds, luggage racks, a fan, linen, towels and are serviced daily. The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen and BBQ area.
