Hotel Description

Spion Kop Lodge is set on a 700 hectare farm, just 15 km north of Winterton. It borders the Spion Kop Nature Reserve and is situated close to historic battlefields.
The double rooms are situated at the original homestead, and each room comes with a patio and en-suite bathroom. The self-catering units are equipped with kitchen and BBQ facilities.

The original barn has been converted into a reception area, dining room and a pub. Other facilities such as a conference room and an outdoor pool is accessible.

Guests can book guided tours to explore historic battlefields, Mount Alice and the campsite where Winston Churchill stayed during the Anglo-Boer War.

Spion Kop Lodge is 30 minutes; drive away from Ladysmith.

Spion Kop Lodge

Set on a 700-hectare game farm, this traditional lodge is 14.4 km from central Winterton and 34.4 km from central Ladysmith.

The 8 colonial-style lodge rooms have en suite bathrooms. Cottages have 2 or 3 bedrooms, plus lounges, full kitchens and BBQ grills.

Meals are included for lodge guests, and are served in a converted barn. There's an outdoor pool, and tours of historic battlefields are available on horseback or in a vehicle.
